Training

During the period from 2018 to 2020, five cycles of five days’ training were jointly conducted for the ICDS Supervisors and ASHA facilitators from Health Department, in the two districts of Yavatmal and Aurangabad. Field training for ASHAs and AWWs have been jointly conducted by their respective supervisors one day in a month for consecutive 12 months. Thus, the cascade module was used to convey information from the top level to each beneficiary under the initiative and it has proven to be very effective.

The Department of WCD and Health has now taken the decision to implement the Aarambh initiative in the entire state of Maharashtra. Under this, region-wise selected trainers from all the districts in each division will be given a five days’ divisional level training in the first phase and a three days’ training in the second and the third phases. The divisional level training will be imparted by the Key Trainer and the Aarambh team. After that these selected trainers are expected to train everyone in their respective districts.
